FirstService Residential Client HR Intern in New York, New York

Job Overview:

As Client HR Intern you'd have the opportunity to work alongside and shadow members of our Client HR team in our NYC Corporate office.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Input new hire data into HRIS/Payroll system.
  • Audit I-9 and W-4 paperwork.
  • Run reports and audit data in HRIS system.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires into HRIS system.
  • Assist with review employee time cards.
  • Special projects as assigned by manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Rising junior or senior pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Program starts June 10 and continues for 9 weeks. Must be available minimum Monday-Thursday, 9-5.
  • Must be in the office (no remote work).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with a high-volume workload while also knowing when to ask for help and ask questions when the information is unfamiliar.
  • Windows knowledge a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills is a must.
  • A high level of energy and a strong bias to service excellence and getting things done with a sense of urgency.
  • Possesses personal and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Diligent and self-motivated.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A self-starter who leads by example and who is respected by all levels of employees.

Compensation:

$16 / hour
