Seeking a Quality Process Engineering Intern for a direct hire opportunity working for a premier manufacturer of exterior building solutions! This is a permanent opportunity. Position located in Paris, IL. * Must be currently enrolled in college* * Opportunities for career growth through the organization nationwide* Job Summary: As the Quality Process Engineering intern you'll have the opportunity to provide expertise and assistance documenting all processes through standard work creation as we move towards a new system in the plant. You will engage in the delivery of accurate and timely reporting of Quality data, as well as updating progress with Genesis Project Manager, Plant management and external team members. You must be proactive, assertive, highly organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be process oriented and results driven for Quality KPI's and also have the ability to effectively handle a diversified, non-routine workday and changing priorities. The most qualified person for this position will be self-motivated and value safety and efficiency. They will be responsible for the development, implementation, and documentation of the manufacturing process. Qualifications/Education: -Currently working towards Bachelor's degree in Quality or Engineering discipline -1+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience -Demonstrated understanding of engineering, mathematical and statistical principles -Knowledge of MS Office applications required -Minimal travel required Location: Paris, IL Hours: 30-40 hours weekly Pay Rate: $20 hourly

Responsibilities

-Responsible for personal safety as well as the promotion of all EHS efforts at this facility.

-Learn processes and document standard work

-Develop a reporting system to track facility metrics and/or key performance indicators

-Test processes, monitor quality standards, create documentation, devise quality tests and define the criteria a test result should meet.

-Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions

-Design and/or source equipment to improve manufacturing processes

-Collecting and analyzing data and Time studies

-Participation in Kaizen opportunities

-Delivering presentations or demonstrations

-Partner with Continuous Improvement and Quality departments as needed

-Assist research and development efforts to implement new products or processes

-Develop and maintain all necessary process and audit documentation

-Utilize continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc. to design experimental techniques and capability studies

-Develop and implement short and long-term goals and objectives

-Proficiency in MS Office and in database software

-Familiarity with traditional and modern Quality methods, tools and techniques

-Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes.
