Kaiser Permanente Account Management Bachelor's Intern in Pasadena, California

Location:

This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL.

Department Description:

The Client Services team manages annual renewal production, contract implementation, and service recovery efforts. The cornerstone to success is having complete and accurate data for planning and executing on strategic customer and broker engagement. Consistently meeting and/or exceeding market expectations will drive membership growth and retention.

Internship Project(s):

As we continue to build out the CA Client Services team, part of our foundational work is to continue the move away from regional variation and seek a statewide solution/process whenever possible. Two areas of focus include: 1.) Identifying key opportunity for alignment/efficiency efforts and potential solutions. 2.) Assist in developing a proposal to centralize the associate account management team to provide efficient and effective operational support to the Large Group line of business. Key activities would be to gather input from key stakeholders, develop a timeline/roadmap, and identify potential tools to be leveraged.

Data Science; Marketing; Computer Science; Business Administration

Target Skills:

Project management, & organizational skills.

Understanding of the full suite of MicroSoft productivity tools (i.e. PowerBI, MS Flows, SharePoint, excel, powerpoint, etc)

Strong verbal and written skills

    Additional Requirements:

  • Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.0 GPA or above.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
