Wright-Ryan is a Maine based, employee-owned company offering General Contractor/Construction Management services for a variety of commercial, higher education, hospitality and healthcare office projects. We believe that a summer spent working in our Large Commercial Division provides the perfect introduction to the construction industry with a chance to gain experience working on current jobs from a field and office perspective. Both are essential to beginning a career as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer upon graduation.

Once hired, our Project Engineers and Field Engineers have the opportunity to learn and grow within the company and advance through Wright-Ryan’s Project Management and Field Supervision ladders.

We have current openings in the Large Commercial and Select Projects Divisions for Sophomores and Juniors in Construction Management programs.

Interns gain exposure to the construction industry - field and office - by working alongside Project Managers and Field Superintendents on current Wright-Ryan commercial projects. Interns are assigned to projects according to the skill and experience they have. Previous carpentry and construction management skills are a plus, but not required.

Qualifications:

• Current matriculation in a two-year (have completed the first year) or four-year (Junior or Sophomore) program

• Passion for building and construction

• Genuine interest in learning about modern construction jobsite management

• Willingness to assist in putting work in place

• Ability to commit to 40 hours per week during the spring/summer months of 2024
