DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an intern with Troop L, you will have an opportunity to interview and interact with the troop's patrol, crime, and staff commanders to gain an understanding of their roles and areas of responsibility. You will also be able to observe, interact, and ask questions of troopers engaged in specialized functions such as criminal investigations, computer crime, canine, aviation, and so much more. You will be tasked with preparing statistical reports and recommendations after reviewing crime and crash data. In addition, you will have an opportunity to provide valuable input regarding cultural perceptions of law enforcement and make suggestions for improving the relationship between law enforcement and the young adult population.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time internship in Fall 2024 (approximately September through December) Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: You must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program. You must have satisfactorily completed 60 credits by time of hire.

Additional Requirements: You must have a valid driver's license. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: You must pass criminal history and background investigations if you do not have a current Pennsylvania State Police background on file.

Applicants shall have no adult criminal conviction graded Misdemeanor 2 or higher under PA Title 18 (or its equivalent for out-of-state and federal convictions).
