Job Summary and Qualifications

SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality CT images of patients. Demonstrates competence in following established scanning protocols.

• Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates CT scanner equipment safely and competently.

• Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations.

• Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner and always identifies patients utilizing the proper protocol.

• Prepare examination rooms for CT scan. Monitors inventory of supplies and maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance.

• Assist in administration of contrast agents with supervision by a registered CT Technologist.

• Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images with assistance of registered CT Technologist.

• Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties.

• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients.

• Completes and maintains educational requirements.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• REQUIRED: Enrolled in 2 nd year of an accredited Radiologic Technology school.
