Microsoft Corporation Legal Counsel Intern in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

A Legal Counsel Intern manages legal business matters and provides corporate and commercial legal services to in-house clients. Counsels business partners and executives on a broad range of issues, which may include legal, business, public relations, government affairs, corporate image, Customer Partner Experience, regulatory compliance, or cross-Microsoft related matters. Reviews legal data and advises the organization on appropriate legal action. Identifies legal risks and develops solutions and mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Corporate External Legal Affairs (CELA) country lead and the regional CELA team executes routine to moderate-impact legal matters; provides support (e.g., revises templates, answers client questions about legal process) to higher-level attorneys, policy reports.

  • Serves as a contributor to clients and colleagues about legal and related business matters (e.g., privacy,artificial intellgence and cybersecurity policies and regualtions, regulatory compliance).

  • Provides input and continuous feedback to improve process efficiencies within role; identifies opportunities and tools to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Analyses Saudi regulation and help with government and policy engagement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • You must be a Saudi National with full authorisation to work in Saudi Arabia

  • Must have at least bachelor’s degree in law

  • Must be fluent in both Arabic and English (verbal and written)

Preffered Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills 

  • Some experience in communication, teamwork and stakeholder management in the course of your education

  • Some knowledge in government policy will be welcomed
