CONIFER’S 2025 SUMMER INTERNSHIP- People + Culture – (Human Resource), Rochester, NY
Conifer’s summer internship kicks off on June 3rd with a special two-day event for all our interns in the Northeast, located at our Corporate Offices in Rochester NY. Our orientation will provide our summer interns with exposure and engagement to our various corporate functions and departments, as well as professional development training to enhance the summer internship experience.

OVERVIEW
The People + Culture Intern will be responsible for administrative and organizational support for the People + Culture team, with the focus on onboarding and talent acquisition, in addition to supporting and learning new responsibilities in other People + Culture areas as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but not be limited to, the following:
· Assist with new hire onboarding related tasks such as launching new hire paperwork, monitoring new hire paperwork progression, and troubleshooting as needed, completing new hire checklist items, and more.
· Review New Hire data in HRIS once fully onboarded.
· Assist with coordinating Orientation Agendas for new Resource Center employees.
· Coordinate attendees for monthly virtual coffee break sessions.
· Complete monthly and quarterly chargebacks to sites.
· Assist our Benefits team with New Hire enrollment related tasks and tracking, ACA Reporting, compliance, and any other benefit related projects.
· Assist our payroll team with employment verifications, sending separation paperwork, compiling WTPA’s for newly hired employees, and more.
· Support our Training team with coordinating training sessions and workshops, preparing training materials, and troubleshooting LMS-related inquiries and recordkeeping.
· Assist with Performance Management communications as needed.
· Coordinate and conduct Exit Interviews as needed.
· Respond to employee questions, concerns, and issues and/or direct them to the correct department contact in a timely, accurate and confidential manner.
· Collect and distribute department mail daily.
· Assist with recruitment process (job postings and following up with the hiring manager).
· Manage and track open positions. Post positions and maintain changes to the applicant tracking system.
· Willing to learn and assist with handling other P+C duties and projects as assigned.
· Back up support to other P+C team members as needed.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
· Minimum High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required.
· Currently enrolled college student, majoring in Human Resources Management and or Business-related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
· Prior 1-2 years HR office, administrative support experience helpful or college work experience in HR department along with college coursework considered.
· Entry level MS Word, Excel, Outlook skills.
· Accurate data entry and excellent proofreading skills.
· Strong customer service skills to support team, departments, apartment community teams.
· Excellent time management and multi-tasking tasks.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality on all aspects of work projects.
The hourly range for this position is $18.00 for an Undergraduate Candidate and $22.00-25.00 for a Graduate Candidate
The actual compensation may vary depending on a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. This range also does not include additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
