Expectations

• The intern will learn in vitro biological, analytical chemical, and/or materials analysis techniques. They will also gain experience with formulation development and prototype medical coatings. They will use this knowledge to help support technical projects by performing testing, creating prototypes, and writing test methods, validations, and reports.

• May work on project management aspects of the design review process.

• Additional work will include lab and project support tasks such as helping with lab maintenance.

Outcome

• The intern will gain useful experience in materials and biomedical product analysis techniques, formulation development, and the design review process as it applies to medical device product development.

Education Requirement:

• The candidate must be pursuing either a bachelor's degree or master’s degree in one of the following fields: Chemistry, biomedical engineering, materials science, ChemE, or something closely related.
