ACCO Engineered Systems Project Engineer Intern in Seattle, Washington

General Job Description: This position teams with other ACCO engineers and project managers to complete tasks related to engineering design and project engineering for construction projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct engineering calculations, energy analysis, economic analysis, selection and layout of equipment, duct, and piping system design BIM modeling of mechanical systems utilizing the latest modeling software Complete code-required energy compliance and LEED documentation Assist with coordination of design and installation with Project Management, Construction and Service departments, Controls, and other trade partners. Field engineering and project engineering: assist with budgeting, estimating, project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, submittals, requests for information (RFIs) and problem solving Effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team members Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines Other duties as assigned by Manager Position Requirements: Coursework towards a BS in Engineering or Construction Management Prior intern experience with mechanical contractor and/or engineering consultant preferred, but not required Excellent understanding of Engineering fundamentals Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, or similar drafting software preferred ACCO Competencies: Proactivity / Initiative: Recognizes what needs to be done and accomplishes it in a manner appropriate for one's level/position and with minimal supervision. In general, work hours begin and end between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and are determined by the department
