Along with franchise brand management, UP&E’s core businesses include Consumer Products, Games and Digital Platforms based on the company’s extensive portfolio of intellectual properties created by Universal Pictures, Illumination Entertainment, DreamWorks Animation, and NBCUniversal cable and television. UP&E is a business segment of Universal Parks and Resorts, and part of NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation.

The Franchise Operation intern, Franchise & Marketing for UP&E Greater China will have the following job responsibilities:

 

Franchise/Retail Marketing:

  • Assist franchise operation executive on franchise/retail marketing campaigns execution.

  • Support franchise operation executive on daily social media operation including Weibo, Wechat, Little Red Book

  • Daily franchise marketing operation incl. marketing guideline training, marketing pitch deck translation and bi-weekly UP&E newsletter development

  • Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate market trends and competition

Events Marketing:

  • Support franchise operation executive for all the local events project management and execution.

  • Manage invitation and RSVP process

  • Responsible for presentation and scripts support of all events 

QUALIFICATIONS – 

Basic Requirements: 

  • Enthusiasm for entertainment and IP licensing industry

  • Basic knowledge on Universal key franchises

  • Good capability of market research, data analysis and statistics

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Organizational and time-management abilities

  • Proficient in MS Office and marketing software

  • Fluent in English and Chinese

  • Sophomore and above

  • Able to physically work in Shanghai office at least 3-4 days a week, start from December 2024 or early January 2025, for at least 5-month internship.  

  • Preferably major in marketing, business administration, communication studies or relevant discipline or above
