Job Overview Komatsu Parts Marketing Komatsu is a Global leader in the Heavy Equipment industry and Komatsu America has a great internship opportunity available for a Business student in Junior or Senior standing. This intern will be immersed in a professional environment where the candidate can integrate to the Komatsu culture and make important contributions during a 12-week internship. Some business travel may occur, but most weeks will be spent in our Rolling Meadows office, starting at 8am, a minimum of four days a week. The ideal candidate will be professional, creative, and innovative. This internship is intended to identify future high potential Komatsu employees. The Parts Marketing Team is responsible for all repair/replacement parts for construction and mining equipment used across North America. This role will provide exposure to Product Marketing activities such as: Product Life-Cycle Analysis, Strategic Pricing, Financial Reporting, Vendor Management, Competitive analysis and Sales Support Activities. Key Job Responsibilities Develop catalog of vital manufacturing stands/fixtures/jigs. Study incoming part flow to setup tables Document the orientation & dunnage needed to present parts to setup welders Evaluate if kitting from vendors needs revision for new plant layout. Qualifications/Requirements Pursuing a bachelor\'s or advanced degree in Engineering, or similar, from an accredited college or university Sophomore level student in good academic standing Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks Strong written and verbal communication skills Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Additional Information Komatsu is an Equal Opportunity Workplace and an Affirmative Action Employer.
