Amazon’s Global Sourcing Program Team is looking for customer-obsessed Process Improvement interns to lead initiatives that can enable scalable and more efficient product development and launch for our Private Label business. The duration of the internship will be 24 weeks start from Jun or Jul 2024. The intern will work in the Amazon Global Sourcing office in Nanshan, Shenzhen.

The successful candidate will enjoy diving deep into data, identifying insights and driving automation for process improvements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a highly collaborative, analytical, creative, and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be self-driven and have the analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, and a strong will to get things done and deliver results. Finally, the candidate must also be a strong communicator, with the ability to communicate concisely and effectively.

DELIVERABLES

• Developing dashboards to ascertain quality and measure performance

• Prototyping and delivering on automation builds that can drive scalability

• Write and present a document and presentation of the product enhancement/validation/automation

Key job responsibilities

• Identify bottlenecks in processes and seek to implement process optimizations

• Understand how data is used to drive the business and product launches

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify gaps and pain points

• Implement and drive automation projects to scale business

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Basic Qualifications

• Graduate between Dec 2024 to Sept 2025, currently working towards a Bachelors (BS) or Masters (MS) in Data Science, Business Analyst, Economics, Business Management, Finance, or Information Management (or similar field)

• Proficient in Excel, SQL, VBA, Python. Demonstrated ability to interpret data and make business recommendations using data analytics tools

• High attention to detail, comfortable with “hands-on” management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

• Work 4 to 5 days per week for at least 6 months

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internship or co-op experience in a similar field

• Prior experience in Lean Six Sigma or process optimization
