Job Description Summary

The Financial Analyst - Intern role is accountable for all financial responsibilities pertaining to billing and e-invoicing activity. The role is focused on setting up the e-invoicing process and ensure that it is working seamlessly and is compliant to the regulations set by the Malaysia Revenue Board (LHDN).

GE Aerospace Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) in Subang plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of aviation fleets every day. Established in 1997 as a Center of Excellence for CFM56 engines, GEESM has grown into a key hub of our global operations. It now services commercial aircraft engines, components, and accessories.

Role Overview:

  • Billing & engine cost analysis: To assist billing preparation for engine cost accumulation, establishing technical, analytical and documentary trail for different cost components and generating invoices for customer. To also assist with billing of small jobs, part sale and WIP clean up exercise.

  • E-Invoicing activities - ensure all invoices are reported and submitted in a timely manner to the inland revenue authorities

  • Revenue Analysis: To assist with analysis of engine level profitability analytics and assist with review preparations with Operations, Material and Customer Support teams.

  • Reporting: To assist with weekly/monthly billing TAT, CN analysis, WIP reporting and adhoc report preparation.

  • Identify process and system enhancement to improve billing quality and participate in lean activities to drive standardization and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting (in process of completion)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong accounting background and operationally inclined.

  • Energetic, attention to detail and commitment to meeting deliverables

  • Proficient in MS office suites (office, word, excel) and knowledge in SAP, Excel VBA and in any programming languages will be advantageous

  • A clear thinker with proven record to lead initiatives, solve problems and quick grasp of complex situation and new ideas.

  • Ability to adapt and deliver in a fast pace environment that is constantly changing

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to lead cross functional team towards a common goal
