A IT Systems Intern for our 2024 Summer Internship Program! This is an entry-level position in our Information Technology Solutions department. In this internship, under direct supervision of a manager or department professional, you will learn the fundamentals of in enterprise-level applications, including implementations and support for Sound Credit Union and our customers, exposing them to the daily routines and procedures of the department. You will focus on end-point management, critical applications systems, and enterprise/non-FI applications. A vital piece of this role will be assisting in maintaining an inventory of assets and adhering to our hardware lifecycle including preparing laptops and desktops for deployment and working with end users to replace their current devices, as well as troubleshooting existing systems. As a IT Systems Intern you will... Install and troubleshoot laptops and desktops for business stakeholders. Maintain records of service calls and interactions within the internal ticketing system. Work with employees to plan, schedule, and perform hardware replacements for the upcoming systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair branch computers while in the field. Assist in deploying new PC/Laptops with standardized credit union software. Audit hardware and keep an updated hardware inventory for asset management purposes. Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, instant messages, and aid as necessary. Meet regularly with management to provide the status of ongoing replacements and hardware troubleshooting. Actively participate in meetings and training programs as required. Maintain intra/interdepartmental workflow by providing information to and cooperating with teammates and working on variety of special department projects as needed. Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, instant messages, and aid as necessary. Perform clerical duties, maintain files (paper or electric), and organize documents (paper or electric); scan, photocopy, fax, etc. as needed.
