UL, LLC Environmental Health & Safety Intern Taipei, Taiwan

  • Under direct supervision, assists in developing, documenting and maintaining environmental health and safety (EHS) programs.

  • hazardous materials, emergency response plans) in compliance with Federal, State and Local legislation.

  • Assists in conducting inspections and reporting on tests and investigations to obtain data for use in determining sources of pollution and methods for controlling pollutants in air, soil and water.

  • Performs job safety assessments (JSA) and exposure monitoring.

  • Assists in creating programs and instructing employees in matters pertaining to occupational health, prevention of accidents, safe operation of equipment and proper handling/cleanup of chemicals and hazardous materials.

  • Assists in training employees in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

  • Performs other duties as directed.

  • Some University education in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
