Job Description
The HR Intern will have an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience, while working to assist the HR department in completing different compensation projects and administrative HR tasks. The Intern may work with managers and employees of all levels across a geographically dispersed organization to proactively support the implementation and delivery of HR processes, programs, and best practices. This individual will gain exposure to different facets of HR management.
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential functions are identified in bold and italicized text below.)
Must work safely at all times.
P ursue a broad and deep understanding of NGL business unit operations.
Work with HR team and management to finalize pay ranges and job descriptions for positions across the company.
Update employee records and perform administrative cleanup of items in the HRIS platform, known as Workday.
Work on sensitive issues with discretion and confidentiality.
Answer employee questions and handle basic HR-related correspondence.
Assist in preparing HR-related reporting in Workday.
Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates for open positions.
Position Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent technical skills including MS Office and knowledge of HRIS platforms, such as Workday.
Highly detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills.
Ability to work on multiple tasks amid shifting priorities, while maintaining quality.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills, with accurate and prompt responses to employees and managers.
Must be able to work on sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to maintain stability under pressure and be flexible and willing to modify plans and behavior when necessary.
Ability to be a positive representative of the Company both internally and externally.
Ability to work with respect and cooperation at all times with fellow employees and customers.
Experience/Education
- Currently working toward a degree in HR or Business.
Travel
Negligible travel required.
