Position Summary

RSI is recruiting for an Engineering Intern whowill assist withdevelopment of accurate current conditions drawings ensuring consistency between civil base, project record drawings and actual field conditions using AutoCAD software.

Job Title: Engineering Intern

Location(s): Westminster, CO

Status: Part-Time

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Hiring Range: $ 20.28 per hour

This position is required to travel 0-10% of the time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering group with daily functions as necessary, including development of accurate current conditions drawings for the Rocky Flats Site (and/or other sites).

• Interpret and understand various drawing sets and logically assemble current conditions drawings, using information from various sources, field observations and guidance from the site engineering point of contact (EPOC).

• Field validation of civil base and project record drawings.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience

• Completion of 60 credit hours prior to start of internship towards anundergraduatedegreein civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, drafting technology, or a relatedfield. Recommend: Junior or senior in a four-year program in the fields listed above, or second year of studies in a drafting technology program.

• No experience required.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid Driver’s License

• No professional certification required.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Microsoft office including but not limited to Excel and Word.

• Computer-aided design (CAD) software including Autodesk Civil 3D and Adobe Pro.

Clearance and Health Requirements

• Criminal Background Check

• Pre-placement Drug Screening

• Fit for Duty Test (if applicable)

Essential Physical Requirements

Medium: Work involves moving objects by exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an above-negligible amount and up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
