The continuous improvement intern will be office-based but will have the opportunity to observe and contribute to developing on-floor operations.

Here's What You'll Get To Do:   * Development and roll-out of Training Manger database software system.  * Improvement of in-house training programs; clarification of specifics and details through detail videos and published documentation.  * Improvement of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Daily Team Maintenance (DTM) programs.  * During the program, you will gain insight into the operational workings of a commercial window and door manufacturing company, and you will actively contribute to improvement projects that lead to increased safety, compliance, and efficiency.  * Supported by a mentor and experienced colleagues, you will be directly involved in our daily business and will perform tasks within diverse continuous improvement projects.  * You will develop, publish, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).  * Assist with implementation of corrective and preventative actions.

HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR DAY:  * During the program, you will gain insight into the Operational Excellence development program and the intensive roll-out of Graham's lean manufacturing journey.  * Supported by a mentor (Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing Manager) and experienced colleagues (professional managers and personnel leaders), you will be directly involved in our daily business and will perform tasks within diverse continuous improvement projects.  * Tasks include, but may not be limited to:  * Evaluation and implementation of new equipment  * Writing or updating SOPs  * Contributing to improvement projects that lead to increased safety, compliance, and/or efficiency  * Assisting with implementation of corrective and preventative actions    Here's What We're Looking For:   * Schedule: available to work a 40-hour work week for 10 weeks  * Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in engineering or business administration  * Excellent verbal and written communication skills  * Initiative-taking individual with the ability to work collaboratively  * Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
